Bowling for the Arts Celebrity Games

September 30, 2007

The "Bowling For The Arts" Celebrity Games fundraiser, held September 30, 2007 at Jillians, Universal City, CA, was a huge success! Celebrities, professionals, and a community of friends enjoyed a great afternoon of fun and sportsmanship to help the Elevate Hope Foundation assist the needs of victims of abuse and neglect through the art of bowling!

Cast members from "Heroes", "CSI Miami", "Grey's Anatomy", drama series "Dexter", motion picture "Red Eye", show hosts from "Access Hollywood", "Fox & NBC News", "Good Day LA", music industry personalities and more were on hand to raise awareness and much needed funds for its cause.

Celebrity guests Hayden Panettiere, Jack Coleman, Greg Grunberg, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Zachary Quinto, Kristen Bell, Dania Ramirez, Masayori Oka, James Pickens Jr., Adam Rodriguez, Pete Escovedo, Arthel Neville, Shaun Robinson, Rachael Boesing, Beth Coleman, Lauren Velez, James Manos, Jr., Erik King, David Zayas, C.S. Lee, Nischelle Turner, Christine Divine, David Pack, Greg Phillinganes, Damion Hall, and our very own Sheila E., were in attendance to share an afternoon with 12 very special honorees from "Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services".

The afternoon began with celebrity guests arriving for red carpet. Once inside Jillians, they were escorted to our honoree's private VIP room for a meet & greet and photo session with each of the Vista residents. It was dream come true for the honorees to meet their favorite celebrities as their excitement and smiles where written on each of their faces. Once they were introduced to the celebrity guests, they were treated to a "Build Your Burger" lunch.

DJ Rashida provided celebrities, Vista honorees, and invited guests with arousing music for the event. Once everyone had a chance to bowl, scores were tabulated and prizes were presented to players with the top scores in the Winner's Circle hosted by EHF Chair Sheila E. and CEO Lynn Mabry. Adam Rodriguez of CSI Miami helped distribute the prizes.

As a extra added bonus and surprise, the Vista honorees were presented unexpected prizes for their top scores, such as 4 Kings Games Tickets, Sheila E. hand percussion, the 2nd highest score player won an iPod Nano, and the grand prize winner was awarded a MacBook Laptop.

Once their prizes were presented, the Winner's Circle announced the winners of the general top scorers to the following:

1. 4-Night-Stay at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas: Damion Hall
2. Creole Lady Original Painting by Pete Escovedo: Neal Brennan
3. David Yurman Necklace: Frank Tesoro
4. Shure Sound Isolation Ear Phones: Sarah Bacon
5. Jillian's VIP Party For Twenty: Jill Jones
6. La Loggia Dinner For Two: Andrew Enns

EHF would like to thank all celebrities, donors, sponsors, and volunteers for making this an amazing event. Congratulations to all the winners, as well as Sheila E. and Airick Arqese for participating in our Giv2Live Pledges for your played strikes. Good Going!
